lyrics
Verse I: Buried, In the sands of time, Betrayed
As each grain fails, the memory Impales
Beneath, The fragile eyes, Nothing
As the flesh fails, my anger prevails
Chorus I: The Flood, Washes over, Once again, Forsaken
Rip out the last of me
The Blowing, Winds, Ushering In, The inevitable
Crushing the last of me
Bridge:
Post Chorus I: As the final grain pierces, Slips through my brain
The regrets remain the same, As I go insane
The time I have wasted, Never to regain
The memories I’ve slain, Flow down the drain
Bridge: As the world fades away
There is no more I can take
I will complete my final task
For there is nothing more to ask
Verse II: Engulfed, within the pain, Senseless
As I take my last breath, I’m filled with regret
Boiling, Under my skin, Rot
The light burns dim, Fading from within
Chorus II: The Flood, Washes over, Once again, Forsaken
Rip out the last of me
The Blowing, Winds, Ushering In, The inevitable
Crushing the last of me
Post Chorus I: As the final grain pierces, Slips through my brain
The regrets remain the same, As I go insane
The time I have wasted, Never to regain
The memories I’ve slain, Flow down the drain

i checked out bands coming to my town, and xoth were on the list. at first i thought they were cheesy since i only liked metal to be deep, dark, and atmospheric .
i did enjoy the technical complexity, so i gave them another chance. i equated shredding with jockishness (ugh), but i now see it as a creative choice. i just had to approach it on my own terms, and xoth was the perfect gateway for this. they really opened up a new world for me. quasiotter
Jordan Vauvert
